Join me live on Monday 27 July at 6pm UK time for a beautifully chilled, sunset-themed Kanikapila!
This week we’ll be learning two wonderfully dreamy songs:
A Sunset - Pulp
Face Like Summer - Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci
Alongside learning the songs, we’ll explore the gorgeous sound of a line cliché - where one note gradually moves through a chord progression - and use the music as a starting point for some relaxed and approachable soloing in the key of C.
You don’t need any previous soloing experience. I’ll show you how a small collection of notes can be used to create simple melodic ideas that genuinely sound musical.
Bring your ukulele, download the sheets and come and enjoy an hour of music as the summer sun begins to set.
