Oops! I purposely added the neater updated sheet but I hadn’t realised I had put the G note in a different place. You can play either as they both give you a g note. I do prefer the ‘closed G’ though - 3rd fret of the E string. It works better with the C major scale placed there.

That’s amazing!! I had no idea they could do that. This year has been great as we’ve had them nesting so the juveniles have got really used to our presence.

That one isn’t a ukulele festival but still really cool - it is an Indiepop festival. We played in a beautiful church overlooking the Fjord. I love your Nuthatch picture! Beautiful. I’m sat in the garden watching the sparrows and bluetits as I work. It’s lovely!

Great post! I've been on a real Beatles kick of late but also listening to a lot of jazz standards too - and another Hawaiian band - The Sunday Manoa. I love hearing what people are working on.

Hi Jenny, my favourite strings at the moment are D'Addario Flurocarbons - high G. They have a nice warmth to them and are quite gentle on the fingers.

I would say so. There are a few ukes that I wish I hadn’t sold but you could always buy another in the future of that model.

Every one I've tried has been superb! I'm doing a workshop at SUS in November and I'm going to record some videos of me trying them.

Yeah - I do that quite often on Baritone - just play exactly the same shapes and notes as on my standard ukes to do the same thing in a lower pitch. It can be quite handy if you’re performing too and a song isn’t in the right key for your voice on standard uke.

Yeah absolutely. There’s no problem with that. You can switch pretty much any low G uke to high g. Give me a shout when you get it if you need any help.

Hi Ted, I'd have a look at some of the free Fingerstyle videos and if you like them try signing up to that course as I go deep into a lot of techniques. Remember that not everyone can do everything - some people can do those jazz chords easily but struggle with rhythm or picking and for others it's totally the other way around. Not all the course uses tricky barre chords. Cheers, Matt
