On Motivation
Seem to be on that plateau Karen talks about. but keep watching Matt's zooms, and keep going over the course. I don't seem to be getting anywhere - but that is my fault. Life keeps intervening - I practice then my nails break and arthritis comes between me and the chords. But I just so love this course - Matt and the zooms I watch plus FaceBook page really is inspiring. Fighting on and upwards. I think my fingers are beginning to respond to my orders from my brain. When I watch the zooms showing other participants and how they play - it is inspiring. Thank-you all you gifted ukulele players.

So, Life does intervene. Illness... work... all those things. The answer for me is that "you do the best you can and don't beat yourself over things that are beyond your control" And I practice and watch the lessons as much as I can, keeping in mind that for me... this isn't my profession and its supposed to be fun and relax me. The good news... since discovering Matt and this site about 6 months ago.... I still suck as a ukulele player. BUT ! I don't suck as bad as I once did !
