Uke Questions & Answers

Hi all - I've been playing one of Matt's songs from a recent Kanipikala - Blue Moon.

I recently played it with a uke friend of mine, who's very much more knowledgable with music theory than me (I'm only just starting out on that route!) and he mentioned that the chords in the chorus are 'not correct' in his opinion.

In the line 'I heard somebody whisper please adore me', he suggested using 'some(Fm)body whisper (Bb) please a(Eb)dore me'

Why did he suggest this? It's harder to play and I thought perhaps Matt listed the chords he did to make it a little easier to play?

Hope someone with more music theory than me can answer this question???
