Iiiiiiiiiittttt’s Chhhrrriiiiiiisstmaaaaass! This is the second of two of our Christmas specials this year. We’ll be playing songs from the Christmas Ukulele Retreat songbook. You can download it for free and I’ll take requests on the night for which songs you want to do from it. It’s going to be so much fun.
For the next Christmas special we’ll also be doing our usual Christmas Student’s Montage. It’s always so nice. All you need to do is send a short video greeting to me at matt@theukeroom.com. Please film them landscape and keep it to 30 seconds or less if you can. If you’re feeling shy or can’t record a video send me a photo and a message and I’ll edit you in. We’ll have a premiere straight after the last Kanikapila before Christmas. It’s always a really special thing. It’s a really special way to be part of our ukulele community and share friendship.

What is Kanikapila? Kanikapila is a Hawaiian word for fun informal jams with lots of improvisation and communal singing.
Every Monday I run a regular online jam session where I teach and encourage you to play songs by ear. No sheet music necessary & all abilities welcome. Beginners can strum along. For intermediate and advanced players Matt will show you how to solo and add dynamic techniques. You can ask Matt questions live and chat to others taking part.
